Update - 3rd December 2025 : Womble is currently on a course of antibiotics, and the animal care team is cleaning his wounds several times a day to help his heal. He is still in the isolation area of the hospital but has just started eating for himself...but Womble is quiet messy with this so far!

Update - 26th December 2025 : Womble has been moved down to the outside nursery pool number 4 for his next stage of rehabilitation. This means he is on the road to recovery and also has a deeper pool to swim in. He currently weighs 18.8kg.
He is sharing this nursery pool with another rescued seal pup named Profiterole, they are doing very well and learning how to compete for fish which are all vital skills they will need when they are released back out into the wild.
His flipper tag ID number is SL352 (yellow).
