Rescued Seal Pups
Athena, female approx. 4-5 months old grey seal pup, was rescued on 10th March 2015 from Mundesley beach near Cromer by Nathan and Natalie.
The pup was found to be suffering from lung worms and weighed 30kgs. Click here to read more.

| Artemis, female grey seal pup, was rescued on 14th March 2015 from Mundesley beach by Kieran and Nathan.
The pup has a punctured eye possibly from an adult grey seal bite. Click here to read more.
| Demeter, female seal pup, was rescued from the beach at Titchwell on 25th March 2015.
| This year the chosen theme is "Greek God and Goddesses"! And once the team see each new arrival, they have a pretty good idea which name belongs to which pup.

Noah, Ernie´s friend, (Green Sea Turtle) was returned to Great Yarmouth Sea Life Centre, after his ocean tank home was refurbished during the autumn and winter months.

If you should discover a seal pup that seems to be in distress, or is alone, what you do next could mean the difference between life and death for the animal.
DO keep your distance;
DON´T attempt to handle the pup;
DON´T attempt to put the pup in the sea;

The animal care team is on call around the clock to race to the rescue of seal pups in trouble anywhere around the coast. Back at the Sanctuary, pups receive expert veterinary care and are gradually weaned from a liquid diet to whole fish in the purpose built hospital. Then it´s to the outdoor pools to gain weight and build strength and stamina ready to resume life in the wild.
