In December 2012 a decision was made for Miley to become a resident at the Hunstanton SEA LIFE Sanctuary!
Miley
Miley Her thyroid level dropped too low to be released back to the wild so she will be on life-long treatment to maintain her level.

When it drops Miley loses her appetite and becomes lethargic which in the wild would mean she would become malnourished and the Sanctuary do not want to release a seal back into the wild with a health problem that is serious, so she´s staying at the Hunstanton SEA LIFE Sanctuary.
On 11th April 2019, Miley (photo right) along with another adult common seal, Boo, moved to the National Sea Life Centre in Birmingham. They are in the centre´s brand new Mammal Rescue Facility where they will be cared for by the specialist welfare team.

The pair are being fostered from Hunstanton (photo right) and Scarborough Sea Life Sanctuaries respectively.

Boo in June 2018 at Oban Sea Life Sanctuary The newly engineered environment at Birmingham Sea Life Centre has been carefully constructed to emulate a natural ocean habitat. It has multiple touch points and observation decks from land and sea. The live working rescue facility will serve a dual purpose to become a tactile viewing encounter where visitors can become immersed in the lives of these incredible creatures.
