| Seal Release - 17th September 2019
|
It´s such a happy day, we love the first release of the common seals season. It´s great to see fully recovered seals, looking so healthy, going back in to the wild and with the continued expert work of the Animal Care Team, the rest of the pups will soon be on their way.
On 17th September 2019 Prince and Madonna were loaded into their stretchers and taken out onto the beach in front of Sea Life Centre for their release.

Madonna (photo left), the smaller of the two seal pups but clearly the bolder, led the way into the choppy waves as Prince (photo above) looked on.
Prince couldn´t just wait while his friend explored the surf, though, and he soon lolloped off gently after her.

Good luck little ones. It is always sad to see these seal pups go but the Animal Care Team know they have worked hard to make this return to the wild possible.
