Seal Pup Rescued Season 2025/26 in Numbers!

Every year, grey seal pup season brings new challenges, inspiring rescue stories and incredible conservation successes to the Cornish coast.   At the Cornish Seal Sanctuary, the expert Animal Care Team works around the clock from autumn through to spring, rescuing, rehabilitating and releasing vulnerable grey seal pups that have become injured, orphaned or separated from their mothers.   With decades of experience, pup season is our busiest and most important time of year.

This year´s pup season has been another remarkable one, made possible by the dedication of the team, volunteers, supporters and partners.   From emergency rescues on Cornwall´s coastline to successful releases back into the wild, every statistic represents a real seal given a second chance.
