Flounder (Platichthys flesus). Habitat : mud and sand bottomed waters. Food : Small fish and bottom-living invertebrates. Size : Up to 50cm. Range : Eastern Atlantic. Threats : Bad fishing practices. Ensure the fish you buy have been either line-caught or potted!
Fact : When still in the egg, flounders look like a normal fish, they twist as they grow!
