Lenny was found on the road at Southend, near Campbletown and the local SSPCA Officer brought him to us at the sanctuary. On his arrival, Lenny was examined and a large wound under his chin was discovered, he was very underweight at only 12 kgs and at barely three weeks old the odds were stacked against him. Laid back Lenny describes this pup to a tee. He has been easy to handle (unlike the three other grey seals) and has sailed through his treatment.
| | He´ll always have a scar on his chin but that won´t detract from his handsome dark looks. He likes to chase the scrubbing brush and is incredibly inquisitive, although this wasn´t always the way when he first met Bruiser. However, he has asserted himself as the boss for just now.

Update 5th April 2005
| Lenny was released back into wild along with Clarisse and Angie on 30 March 2005. These three amigos had to make a mammoth return journey back to Thurso for their release at Dunnett Bay beach. The animal care team made the first leg of the journey to Inverness where they were met by British Diver Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) to complete the adventure north.
Lenny exceeded his target weight and surprised us all when our backs nearly broke lifting his 49 kilos into the van. Lenny and Angie had become totally inseparable and this was the reason that we chose not to return Lenny to his native Kintyre. They had spent the previous couple of months playing and ducking each other under water and were committed best friends.
