Lauren, a grey seal pup, was rescued from Thurso by British Divers Marine Life Rescue. Lauren had been separated from her mother in the extreme storms. On arrival at the centre, she weighed 25kg and was approximately 4-5 weeks old. She is recovering from a bad cough which was treated with a course of antibiotics. She is progressing well after a difficult start; Lauren had problems eating her fish. She did not want to swallow therefore feeding was often a struggle. Lauren now feeds well and will soon move outside with the other pups before her release back to the wild.
