| Brock arrived on 8th April 2008 |
| Brock, a grey seal pup, was found on the beach in the Isle of Tiree on 8th April 2008 by a local fisherman who noticed that he was looking a bit worse for wear. He is very small for his age and was so hungry that he willingly took fish from a human. We suspect that since leaving his mother Brock has struggled to hunt and catch fish for himself and is now so exhausted that he needs our help.
He does not appear to have any visible injuries although is very skinny. On arrival he was put straight onto fish and he is taking them well. Brock is approximately 5 weeks old and weighs 16 kg. Soon he will be able to go for little swims in the weaning pool and once he has built up his weight and his stamina he will be able to go outside and then eventually be released back into the wild. |
| Update: 29th May 2008 - Brock has now been moved outside to the large seal pools, this happened on the 27th May 2008. He is really enjoying the room and being to able to interact with the other seals. |
 | Update: 8th June 2008 - These photos of Brock were taken yesterday (7th June 2008) in the outdoor seal encounters' pool. His flipper tag number (yellow) is 112 and current weight is 20.5kg. |

| Update: 30th June 2008 - Brock has had to be brought back in to the hospital as he is undergoing medical treatment. He arrived here weighing 16kg and now weighs a healthier 21kg. To ensure he receives his medication and none of the other seals do, he has been put into the weaning pool until the course of treatment has finished. When he is feeling better, he will be taken outside again and will be back on course for being released soon. |
| Update: 13th July 2008 - Brock has been receiving treatment in the weaning pool. He was not a happy chap when he went in there and Ann Jamieson, Entertainments Staff, said "If a seal could be in a huff and pout that is what Brock would be doing." Thankfully he is getting better and should be back outside soon, fingers crossed. |
 | Update: 26th July 2008 - Here are some photos of Brock taken in the indoor weaning pool, he will soon be moved back out into the outdoor seal pool for his final stages of rehabilitation and then released back into the wild. |
