AVON
	Avon was very young when she first arrived at the sanctuary but moulted her juvenile coat extremely quickly. She came to the sanctuary on the 13th of December after being rescued from a timber yard inland from Wick. Avon´s juvenile coat was ingrained with mud and grime after the long ‘walk´ from the sea.
At first Avon hated feed times as she was being force-fed fish, she wriggled terribly each time we caught her, often slipping out of our grasp. After a few days she learned to hand feed over the pen and was far happier. She has grown quickly, putting on weight well. Because of her rapid progression she has moved to the weaning pool with Lora. Here she loves to spend time cruising along the bottom. Avon is an extremely noisy pup and calls very loud every time she gets hungry. Her calls can be heard right around the centre!
