News Update April/May 2012 THE OTTERS Summer with her 4 month old Cubs who have just been named Yorkie, Smartie, Skittle and Twix, (3 boys and 1 girl) are doing really well. Click here to see a selection of photos taken on 5th May 2012. GREEN SEA TURTLE Come face to face with the Centre´s newest Resident, Ernie, a spectacular Green Sea Turtle. THE PENGUINS Jess, Charlie, Joepi, Harvey, Elly and Dimi (photo right), the resident penguins, are doing fine. THE CROCS The Caiman Crocodiles, Jabuti, Wanadi and Kacheri, are slowly getting bigger. RESCUED SEAL PUP Juls, rescued on 3rd January 2012, is currently in the outdoor pool with the resident seals, Tyne, Sally and Amber. The pup just needs to put on another 5kgs before being released back into the wild. A NEW LOOK For those of you who have not visited the Hunstanton SEA LIFE Sanctuary recently, thought you may like to see the new look. FORTHCOMING EVENTS FOR 2012 Turtle Festive : 2nd June to 10th June 2012 Come and help to celebrate the imminent launch of a brand new Turtle Rescue centre in Greece, funded by the SEA LIFE Centre´s visitors and join in a range of turtle-related fun events for all the family. Walk for Whales : 8th July 2012 Come and join the annual five mile sponsored walk and help raise funds for vital whale and dolphin conservation projects around the world. You will also enjoy a free visit to the SEA LIFE centre or Sanctuary you walk from when the walk is over. F Save the Whales : 21st July - 29th July 2012 A week of special activities highlighting conservation efforts around the world to help endangered whales and dolphins. Learn about the surprising range of these amazing, intelligent creatures that visit UK waters, and the hazards they face. Shark Week : 20th October - 4th November 2012 The centre is throwing the spotlight on sharks for this event, with talks, feeding demos, kid´s activities and lots more - because sharks need friends too, and they´re amazing, fascinating creatures.
