Thresher Shark was rescued on 27th February 2022

Thresher Shark, a 4-6 months old male grey seal pup, was rescued from Padstow on 27th February 2022 by members of the British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) marine mammal medics.
The pup came in very malnourished and dehydrated. Also ruckly breathing.

Update - 6th March 2022 : Thresher Shark had a huge worm burden so he spent the first few days in the hospital sleeping. Thankfully, the treatment that was prescribed by the Sanctuary´s vets has been working and he is feeling so much better.

Update - 3rd April 2022 : Thresher Shark is now in the outside nursery pool 3 for his next stage of rehabilitation and to learn how to compete for fish during feeding time.
His flipper tag ID number is SL139 (white).

Update - 3rd April 2022 : Thresher Shark and Pebble were released back into the wild on 25th April 2022 at Dollar Cove.
