Peach Melba was rescued on 21st February 2026 The Cornish Seal Sanctuary received a telephone call from Alison, one of the British Divers Marine Life Rescue´s marine mammal medic volunteer area coordinators, asking whether the team could assist in checking on a seal pup at Fishing Cove. Alison said "There were no local BDMLR volunteers available but I had spotted Debbie was having a birthday weekend in Sennen Cove thanks to her post on Facebook!   (She possibly won´t do that again!?).   Bless her, Debbie was happy to go.   On arrival, she found a poorly pup with breathing of 60/2.   The Cornish Seal Sanctuary sent Ben, one of their animal care team staff, who duly arrived to assist.   "Peach Melba" was uplifted and left with Ben to be admitted to the Seal Sanctuary and Debbie plus husband and dog left to continue their holiday!"
