Misty was rescued on 8th July 2016

Misty, a one week old female common seal pup, was rescued on 8th July 2016 from Holme beach. Although the pup is fairly small for her age, she is extremely feisty!
Misty is currently on a diet of fish soup and whole fish. Because she was abandoned before her mother could teach her how to feed herself, the Animal Care Team are having to tube feed Misty and have to teach her how to swallow whole fish. She is doing very well so far.

Update - 24th July 2016 : Misty is currently in pen number 2, she currently weighs 8.3kgs.

Update - 4th September 2016 : Misty is sharing hospital pen number 3 with another pup named Tetris. Misty curently weighs 16.75kgs. She has developed an eye infection, this should clear up soon with treatment.

Update - 30th November 2016 : Misty along with Birdo, Ash, Jiggly Puff, Jax, Lara, Fiona and Snorlax were returned to the wild on 28th November 2016 on the beach outside the Sanctuary at 4 o´clock...just at sun set.
