Magnum was rescued on 11th June 2015
This is the first rescued common seal pup of the season. At only a few days old he was rescued from Heacham North beach on 11th June 2015 after concerned members of the public called the centre.

The pup was found separated from his mum and alone on the beach after being monitored for a few hours.

Magnum The pup has been named Magnum.

He is now in hospital and in the very capable hands of the amazing Animal Care Team who will look after him until he is ready to return to the wild.

Update - 26th June 2015 : Magnum is eating for himself on whole herring!
Update - 30th June 2015 : Magnum is currently in the hospital´s pen number 1.   As you can see Magnum is having a cheeky herring from Nat, a member of the Animal Care Team.

Magnum Update - 16th July 2015 : Here is the latest photo of Magnum in the hospital´s weaning pool taken on 12th July 2015, he is really enjoying himself with the four other rescued seal pups in here. He currently weighs 15kgs. Magnum´s flipper tag number is 72 (yellow).   Click here to see a larger photo of this.

Update - 31st July 2015 : Magnum has been moved to the outside main resident seal pool to learn how to compete for fish with the other seals. He currently weighs 19kg.
Update - 11th August 2015 : Magnum is in the outside resident seal pool with the other rescued seal pups, Solero, Cornetto, Twister, Haribo, Flake and Nobbly Bobbly, for their final stage of rehabilitation.

Magnum´s flipper tag number is 72 (yellow).

Seal Release - 19th October 2015 Update - 20th October 2015 : Magnum along with Solero, Haribo, Twister, Nobbly Bobbly, Flake and Cornetto were released back to the wild on 19th October 2015 at Snettisham beach.

Magnum´s release weight is 30kgs.
