Grambler was rescued on 6th December 2017

Grambler, 8 weeks old male seal pup, was rescued on 6th December 2017 from Poldhu Cove.
This pup had upper respiratory infection and superficial wounds to his body.

Update - 31st December 2017 : Grambler is currently in the hospital´s pen and will be moved down to the outside nursery pools shortly for his next stage of rehabilitation. He weighs 22.5kgs.
Grambler´s flipper ID tag number is 337 (green).

Update - 25th February 2018 : Grambler is now in the rehabilitation pool gaining the last couple of kilograms and waiting for a good surf report so he can be released back to the wild!

Update - 28th March 2018 : Here is a photo of Grambler in the rehab pool just before he was released back into the wild on 26th March 2018.
Grambler weighed 36kgs on 20th March 2018.

Grambler along with Alfred, Warleggan, Charlestown, Ted and Crofty were all released at Porthtowan Beach on 26th March 2018. The planned release is a major operation involving several members of the Sanctuary team. The rehabilitation pool was drained, and then each pup was herded into a cage and then transferred to a trailer which was then driven onto the beach to be safely released.
