Fiona, two days old female common seal pup, was rescued on 16th June 2016 at 9pm at night from RSPB Reserve at Titchwell Marsh by volunteer seal rescuer Steph after being found separated from her mum. Fiona
Update - 20th June 2016 : Weighing 7.9kgs at 2 days old on arrival, Fiona is doing well in the hospital and has put on nearly a kilo so far. She´s being fed special fish soup mixture and received her first fish today. The Animal Care Team are optimistic that she will grow quickly and progress into the intermediate pool with other rescued seal pups Bowser and Blaze.
Fiona Update - 24th June 2016 : Fiona has just progressed from the special fish soup onto whole herring fish. She is put on a kilo since arrival and is progressing well.

Update - 24th July 2016 : Fiona is now in the swim pool with Lara, Blaze and Bowser, three other rescued seal pups.

Outside Seal Pool Update - 4th September 2016 : Fiona is in the outside seal enclosure and putting on lots of weight.

Update - 23rd October 2016 : Fiona is still in the outside seal enclosure and will be released back to the wild very soon.

Seal Release on 26th November 2016 Update - 30th November 2016 : Fiona along with Birdo, Ash, Misty, Jax, Lara, Jiggly Puff and Snorlax were returned to the wild on 28th November 2016 on the beach outside the Sanctuary at 4 o´clock...just at sunset.
