Meet Disa...The petite puffin with a heart of gold, may be small in stature but she is big on personality. Despite a vision impairment, she gracefully glides on water, savouring her capelin treats with a delightful splash. Alongside Alma, Disa enjoys soaking up the sunshine. You will often find them together, dragging their mats outside for added comfort!
Disa´s ID tag colour ring is Pink.
Disa was rescued in 2020 and rehabilitated at the Beluga Whale Sanctuary & Puffin Rescue Centre in Iceland. Unfortunately, she cannot be released back into the wild due to a permanent eye injury, which left her with only half of her vision. She was relocated to the Cornish Seal Sanctuary in April 2024 to create space for the Iceland Sanctuary to continue their vital rehabilitation work.
