Chewy, the first rescued grey seal pup of the season, was rescued from Cley beach which is a few miles from Blakeney Point on 28th November 2016.
This whitecoat under a week old was found skinny with a few small cuts to his back flippers, weighing 13kgs. Chewy had become separated from his mum just a little too early.

For a week or so, the Animal Care team will tube feed him with the special liquidised fish soup until he is ready to eat whole herring fish.

Update - 10th December 2016 : Chewy has sadly passed away; it is always very sad when one of the rescued pups dies but sometimes these little ones just don´t have enough antibodies and strength in them to pull through, despite the best efforts of all the staff at Hunstanton SEA LIFE.
