Bala was rescued on 2nd August 2017

Bala, female common seal, was rescued on 2nd August 2017 from Hunstanton beach.
This pup had some nasty bite mark wounds to her body.

Bala has been named after the small "Bala Shark" found in the North West Atlantic. Population of this species has decreased 50% over the last 10 years. Putting them on the endangered species list.

Update - 28th August 2017 :
Bala currently weighs 12.5kgs and is in hospital pen number 3.

Bala´s flipper tag number is 468 (white).

Update - 10th October 2017 : Bala along with Blue, Puffin, Daggernose, Dusky, Hector, Polly-Ann and Hawksbill, were released back into the wild at Hunstanton beach on 9th October 2017.
