Update - 20th June 2016 : Ash is on the special fish soup mixture made by the dedicated Animal Care Team and is being fed every 4 hours. Today he also received a whole herring fish as the team start to wean him onto solid food. It went down well and the team are optimistic that he will progress quickly with the other hospital residents. He has already put on a kilo since his arrival!

Update - 24th June 2016 : Ash has been very poorly this week as he has an internal infection that revealed itself on the second day in the hospital. The vet has been out to examine him but for the minute its very touch-and-go, the seal pup is on a hydration drip, anti-inflammatory medication to take down the swelling and keep his temperature under control, and antibiotics to treat the infection but he is very poorly. The staff are working around the clock to try pull him through.
