Banded Archerfish
Banded Archerfish (Toxotes jacularix) - Habitat - Brackish tropical waters (river mouths and mangrove estuaries). From India eastwards towards the Philippines and Northern Australia. - Threats - Destruction of their mangrove swamp habitat and pollution. Features - These have specially adapted mouths which they are able to shoot jets of water (ranging from 150cm up to 1 metre) in order to catch their prey.
