Shark and Ray Nursery - Some species of sharks and rays give birth to live young, whereas others lay eggs often referred to as "mermaid´s purses".
To make sure the embryos and young animals develop in safety, the team remove them and place them in a nursery tank until they hatch. As the babies grow in size, they are found a new home in larger tanks or at other SEA LIFE Aquariums around the world.
