Dempsey
DempseyDempsey was separated from his mum and was only a few days old. Weighing only 10kg, he would not have survived without the help from the Animal Care Team. Dempsey is supporting Nick Dempsey this summer in all his windsurfing events!

Update: 1st July 2012 - Dempsey is now in the weaning pool with Oates, Daley, Miley and Ogogo.
His flipper tag number is 04 (green).

Photos (left & above) of Dempsey were taken on 30th June 2012. Click here to see a collage of photos.
Update: 22nd July 2012 - Dempsey - Dempsey is also in the pup pool and he is our first seal to feed for himself. He really likes chasing the fish when the animal care team throw them in and will quickly eat them all up. He currently weighs 16 kilos!

Update: 31st July 2012 - Won´t be to long till Dempsey is outdoors with our residents as he´s a hefty 25kg and has almost mastered the art of catching the fish himself. The Animal Care Team are not sure Olympian Nick Dempsey would appreciate all this extra weight - could slow him down! But Dempsey the pup is hoping to be out in the wild in time for Olympian Nick to win his first gold medal.

Update: 9th September 2012 - Dempsey along with Daley were released back into the wild on Tuesday 4th September 2012. The release was filmed for the ITV´s Britain´s Animal Babies which will be shown later this year in November.
