| "Lord of the Rings"

| All our "Lord of the Rings" common seals were released on the 26th February 2003. Elwyn, Arwen, Frodo, Bilbo, Gandalf and Aragorn made the 2½ hour journey to west loch Tarbert.

| As we moved the seals onto the beach in their travel cages they could smell the sea air and became very excited. We released the pups in pairs and they quickly made their way down to the sea, keen to explore. They were especially interested in the seaweed and were seen several times with it draped over their head. The pups were not desperate to leave us behind and waited till they were all ready before venturing out to sea.

| Elwyn even came back to make sure Bilbo was coming as he lagged behind. After a lot of playing around none of the pups remained in sight as they headed out together into the distance.
