Wolverine was rescued on 13th November 2014
Wolverine, 5 week old male grey seal pup, was rescued from the beach at Perranporth on the 13th November 2014. The pup was rescued and transported by members of the British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) team to the Seal Sanctuary.

Upon arrival at the Sanctuary, the pup weighed 15kgs and found to be malnourished.

His flipper tag number is 048 (yellow).
Update - 28th January 2015 : Wolverine was released back into the wild along with Betty Boop, Moomin, Olive and Magneto on 26th January 2015 at Gwithian.

Wolverine - January 2016 Update - 2nd May 2016 : Wolverine was seen at a local haul-out along the north coast of Cornwall on 21st, 25th & 28th January 2016, 11th February 2016, 7th & 24th March 2016 and 15th & 18th April 2016.

Members of the Cornwall Seal Group Research Trust who identifies and monitors local seals.

Update - 1st August 2016 : Wolverine was seen in the wild on 27th May 2016 and 24th July 2016 in the Isles of Scilly by Anna Cawthray of the Scilly Seal Snorkelling.
