AQUARIST Hunstanton SEA LIFE Sanctuary Reporting To:     Displays Supervisor Direct Reports:   Seasonal Staff Department:       Displays Contract:            Permanent/Full Time Grade:               9 The Role An exciting position has arisen for an Aquarist at the Hunstanton SEA LIFE Sanctuary. The Wash and the North Norfolk Coast is one of the main breeding colonies for the Common Seal in the UK, and the Aquarist position has all the usual responsibilities of ensuring that all livestock displays are well presented and maintained. This is a specialist role caring for the resident seals, otters, penguins and rehabilitation of seal pups. The Person The successful candidate will have a proven track record within the fish husbandry field and a good knowledge of plant and equipment. A relevant qualification would be useful but more important is a good understanding of our product and a desire to support the Hunstanton team in maintaining the high standards of the displays. Good communication skills, being well motivated and flexibility with working hours are essential.
