Tyson was rescued on 15th December 2008

On Monday 15th December 2008 we received a call from a member of the public up at Constantine Bay near Newquay about a sea pup on the beach. After getting the information, we sent a member of the Animal Care Team up to take a look at the pup. Dan arrived on the scene and found the pup to be around 10-12 weeks old, malnourished with a few wounds. The seal was given fluids on the beach and brought back to the Sanctuary.
Tyson At the Sanctuary the pup was put in to isolation and given a clinical the seal managed to rip the towel out of the Animal Care Team hands and sit on it refusing to give it back, after a little bit of encouragement the seal gave in and we were able to treat the wounds and give the pup a course of antibiotics. Due to the pup aggressive nature we have called him Tyson.
