TUNNY was rescued on 25th January 2002
Tunny was rescued from Summerly Cove near Bude on the 25th January 2002. She was born very late in the pupping season being just 4-5 weeks of age when rescued. She was very malnourished, weighing just 13 kilos on arrival, but otherwise she was in good body condition.

She has responded very well to hospital care and when she was introduced to fish she eagerly fed for herself, quickly putting on weight. We were sorry to move Tunny down to the nursery pools when she reached her target weight as she has been one of the most vocal pups we have had in the hospital, regularly entertaining us with her singing!! Once Tunny reached 30 kilos she was moved into the convalescent pool

DAMSEL was rescued on 31st December 2001
Damsel was rescued from Swanpool, Falmouth on the 31st December 2001 by the sanctuary. She was very quiet when she was rescued and appeared quite malnourished.

Damsel was given fluids for 24 hours to re-hydrate her and was then given her first fish which thankfully she ate straight away! When her blood results came back normal, Damsel was moved down to the nursery pools on 14th January 2002 with Cyril to keep her company. A few weeks later she was moved into the convalescent pool. She was released on the 28th March 2002 at Church Cove with Rockling, Limpet and Monk.
