Thor was rescued on 8th January 2015
Thor, 8 weeks old male grey seal pup, was rescued from the beautiful beach at Porthcurno on 8th January 2015 by members of the British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) team.

He was found to have minor wounds on flippers, and infected cut on chin. Also had a swollen first digit on rear right flipper and breathing slightly ruckly and weighed 18kgs.
Update - 23rd January 2015 : Thor now weighs 24kg and has quickly moved through the rehabilitation process and is currently in convalescence pool learning how to compete for fish with the resident seals and the rescued seal pups. His flipper tag number is 070 (yellow).
Thor and Spiderman released back into the wild on 7th April 2015 Update - 31st March 2015 : Thor is currently in the convalescent pool and putting on lots of weight.

Update - 12th April 2015 : Thor was released back into the wild along with Spiderman on 7th April 2015.

Update - 2nd May 2016 : Thor was seen at a local haul-out along the north coast of Cornwall on 18th April 2016 by members of the Cornwall Seal Group Research Trust who identifies and monitors local seals.
