TAZ - Rescued on 9th December 2006

On Saturday the 9th of December 2006 the Sanctuary received a call about a pup at Newquay. We sent a member of the team off to Newquay and they found the pup on the beach. This pup had lots of wounds and its eye was closed.
The pup was put into a cage and brought back to the Sanctuary. The pup was put into isolation and was given a clinical assessment. This pup weighed 19 kilos and was around 8 weeks old. The pup also had a graze to its chin, an ulcer to its eye and lots of puncture wounds to body. The pup has been put onto a course of antibiotics and eye drop. The pup is a little boy and has been named Taz. Photo of Taz was taken by Rachael Vine on 13th December 2006
