|Rainbow came in on the 12th of October, very thin and dehydrated. She was reported stranded on Newquay beach, late in the evening. After lots of searching in the dark, we finally found her lying behind a rock, and quickly picked her up and brought her back to the sanctuary, to receive some much needed care and attention.
Rainbow, on arrival weighed a very slight 13.5kg, a healthy pup would weigh 50kg, so there is still a long way to go with our new arrival. As she begins to moult, we shall gradually be weaning her over onto whole fish.
