On Tuesday morning (17th of June 2008) all the Animal Care Team were in at 4.30am to release six more seals.
Off to a new life in the wild were Predrek, Jenifer, Monopoly, Samson, Baggy and Piran.
All were a little reluctant to get in the cage, but once in the trailer the excitement mounted.
It was a 30 minute drive to the release site at Porthtowan and we were on the beach by 5.30am.
As the back of the trailer came down they were off, Jenifer after coming out the trailer and down the beach changed her mind and started to head up the beach, but seeing the rest of the seals heading towards the water she thought that was a better idea. All went in to the water together and headed out to sea, two of them even managed to have a farewell kiss and hug, before going off.
