SEA LIFE Sanctuary Auctions Chance
to Join Seal Release
The magical experience of seeing a successfully rescued seal pup returning
to the wild is up for auction.

The Scottish SEA LIFE Sanctuary is seeking bids for the privilege of naming its newest rescued seal pup...and going along when it is released
next spring.
Pup without a name
"We will take bids by e-mail or in sealed envelopes up until the end of our special Winter Festival this Sunday, 18th November," said General Manager Craig Connor.

"We´re expecting over 1,000 visitors on Sunday, and when they have seen the newly rescued pup in our hospital I would not be surprised if quite a few of them bid to be at his release.
"Watching a fit and healthy seal pup regaining its freedom after three or four months of intensive care always tugs at the heart strings," he added. "It´s always a lovely thing to see and something those who witness it are unlikely ever to forget."
Pup without a name Found seemingly abandoned at Glenbarr, Kintyre, the grey seal pup´s rescuers kept him overnight in a car boot until the SSPCA collected him and delivered him to the Sanctuary.

Thought to be about one month old, he is moulting out of his fluffy white baby coat and is therefore in a dry hospital cubicle until the moult is complete.
The Sanctuary´s £5-all-comers Winter Festival will include a Christmas craft market, featuring jewellery and jam making and woodwork; Santa and Mrs Claus in their grotto; a bird-of-prey display; chainsaw carving demonstrations; Scottish piper; bouncy castle and includes entrance to the aquarium and seal rescue centre. It could also be sent by post to arrive by Monday (19th November 2012) latest at The Scottish SEA LIFE Sanctuary, Barcaldine, Connel, Oban, Argyll PA37 1SE.

The winner will be announced next week.
