Poppy was rescued on 15th November 2010
Poppy was 3.5 week old seal pup when rescued by members of the British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) team from Lusty Glaze Newquay on 15th November 2010.
On the beach Poppy weighed 12.2kg and was somewhat lethargic when handled.

Update: 28th November 2010 - Poppy is still in the hospital´s isolation pen 1.
Poppy - 29th December 2010 Update: 23rd December 2010 - Poppy is now in the convalescent pool and learning to compete for the fish with the other seals.
Poppy´s flipper tag number is 019 (white).

Update: 8th February 2011 - Poppy currently weighs 29 kilos.

Update: 4th March 2011 - Poppy is recovering from a cough she has had over the last week.
Back to the wild Update: 23rd March 2011 - Poppy along with Francis, Billy, Guido, Ugg and Teddy were released back into the wild at Porthtowan on 22nd March 2011.
