Barney, a male Humboldt penguin, was born at Scarborough SEA LIFE Centre in 2006. He arrived at the Cornish Seal Sanctuary on 10th November 2010 as a partner for Ivy. Barney is settling in very well at the sanctuary and likes to follow Gilbert around the enclosure. Barney´s left wing band colour is yellow. Click here for the latest "news update" on Barney |

Our other resident penguins:- Ivy (red/black band), Gilbert (green/white band), Piran (pink/white band), Ruby (red/white band) and Lola (blue/white band) Each penguin has a different coloured tag to be able to tell them apart. Male penguins have a coloured band on their right wing and females on their left wing. |
