News Update September 2014
Due to severe flooding on 5th December 2013 the Hunstanton SEA LIFE Sanctuary is temporarily closed at the moment. Since then the Sanctuary´s team and the contractors have been working very long hours to get the Hunstanton SEA LIFE Sanctuary rebuilt, by the time it is finished, later in the year, they hope to have made it even better than it was before!

The Hunstanton SEA LIFE Sanctuary will officially re-open on 16th October 2014.

Update - 6th September 2014
Lots of exciting new exhibits and one of them is the amazing "Underwater Seal Viewing area". By swapping over the Seals and Otters exhibits, the Sanctuary have been able to introduce UNDERWATER VIEWING of the seals through an underwater glass window. The staff can´t wait for Amber, Sally, Tyne, Pendle and Miley to see their new home!

Update - 7th September 2014 - Merlin´s Magic Wand
The Sanctuary´s Staff have helped build a unique new play area for Kings Lynn´s Churchill Park School in conjunction with Merlin´s Magic Wand charity. With the seafront attraction under reconstruction, Sanctuary staff were joined by others from parent company Merlin to help deliver a special tonic for the Churchill children.   Click here to read more...

Update - 13th September 2014
The local Fire Service came to the Sanctuary´s rescue again and helped to fill the tanks! Just as they were here the night of the flood to pump the water out, they now did the opposite. All the tanks are now filled and ready for the arrival of the animal residents.
Update - 16th September 2014
Now the Sanctuary has been re-built, bigger and better than before, and its residents are returning 10 months after their dramatic exodus.

Common seals, giant sea turtle, otters, penguins and rays...are all due to arrive along with hundreds of fish next Tuesday 23rd September 2014.  Click here to read more.

Update - Beach Clean Event on 21st September 2014
A clean-up team organised by Hunstanton Sea Life Sanctuary filled 18 bags full of rubbish from Old Hunstanton Beach on 21st September 2014.

More than 2,100 items were collected altogether; including 11 shoes and 200 pieces of plastic, everyone a potential death trap for sea creatures.
