News Update November 2013
Seal News
Superman, a common seal pup, was rescued from South Heacham beach earlier this year in June 2013, had recovered from a really nasty virus and completed her rehabilitation was released back into the wild on 25th September 2013 at Snettisham Beach.

Kieran, Displays Supervisor, at the SEA LIFE Sanctuary received an email from Pierre-Yves, the Director at the Animal Protection League of Calais in France to say they had found a little common seal on 9th November 2013 on the beach at Wissant in France and taken to their centre.

Upon arrival at the centre in Calais, Superman weighed 21kgs. She looked very healthy and there were no injuries, we think she just got a bit lost and didn´t pick up feeding properly - she came in very young.

We will keep you updated on Superman´s progress.

Seals in the Wild!
Just a little reminder that we are now into the Grey Seal pupping season in the UK, if you are visiting the coast in Suffolk or Norfolk, you may well see newborn pups, can we remind you that white fluffy pups may look cute, but they have sharp teeth that carry harmful baterial.

They can also be easily disturbed and lose their mum, so please keep your distance and help look after our wonderful marine life!
