Mickie was rescued on 16th October 2014
Mickie, two week old female grey seal pup (whitecoat), was rescued on 16th October 2014 from the beautiful beach at Porthcurno cove which is near the Minack Theatre by members of the British Divers Marine Life (BMDLR) Rescue team.

She was found to have nasty flipper wounds and ulcerated eyes. Upon arrival at the seal sanctuary, the pup was put in one of hospital´s isolation pens and full clinical assessment was carried out by the animal care team.
Mickie
Mickie Update - 26th October 2014 : Mickie is currently in the main hospital pen number 4 and is responding well to treatment. She currently weighs 27.5kg.

Update - 28th November 2014 : Mickie is now in the outside nursery pool for his next stage of rehabilitation.

Mickie´s flipper tag number is 038 (yellow).

Seal Release - 23rd January 2015 Update - 25th January 2015 : Mickie was released back into the wild along with Mr Incredible, Robbie and Storm on 23rd January 2015 at Gunwalloe.
