The objectives of the National Seal Sanctuary are to:-

  • To rescue and provide professional treatment for sick, injured or distressed marine animals that are found around our shores - no animal is turned away.

  • To rehabilitate or provide and maintain a home for the unfortunate animals who would otherwise perish in the wild.

  • To release rehabilitated marine animals safely back into the natural environment.

  • To create greater awareness of the marine environment through the work and research which is undertaken.

Direct Donation:
You could help us with a one-off donation:-

     £5 will provide one re-hydration pack for a rescued pup

     £15 is the cost of basic blood sample analysis for one rescued pup

     £50 will buy a box of antibiotics for a pup

     £100 will pay for one week's milk for a new born pup

     £150 is the cost of one pup rescue kit

     £1,000 is the cost of rehabilitating one grey seal pup

     £3,500 will allow us to satellite tag and monitor one released grey seal pup

2008 sees the National Seal Sanctuary celebrate 50 years of seal and sea lion rescue, rehabilitation and conservation.

With your help we will be able to continue rescuing and rehabilitating seals and sea lions and educating the public about marine conservation for another 50 years.

Standing Order: A hassle free way for you to support our work on a regular basis

     £2 per month will provide 10 days of medication for a hyperthyroid seal

     £5 per month will allow us train one additional seal rescue volunteer

     £10 per month will pay for one day's fish for the resident seals
