Lola Bella was rescued on 10th October 2011
On the 10th October 2011 we received a phone call about a pup at Sennen Cove. The pup was brought to the Sanctuary at around 6pm that evening and its clinical assessment started with weighing in at only 11kg.

This pup was around 4 weeks old, very malnourished for a pup of this age, the pup, a little girl, also had puncture wounds to most of it´s body, a course of antibiotics was started as well as multi vitamins, the pup is bright but quiet and a little girl which has been named Lola Bella.

Lola Bella on 28th December 2011 Update: 28th October 2011 - Lola Bella has been moved to the outside nursery pool No. 4 and she is now learning to feed for herself and is being watched closely by another rescued seal pup Hippo who has yet to learn to feed himself!

Update: 23rd November 2011 - Lola Bella is now in the convalescent pool for her final stage of rehabilitation. Lola Bella´s flipper tag number is 07 (green).

Update: 6th February 2012 - Lola Bella was released back into the wild at
Gwithian beach on 3rd February 2012 along Zara Phillips, Boudicca,
Basil Fawlty, Sapphire and Blue Topaz.
