| LILO - Rescued on 3rd December 2006 |
![]() | On Sunday the 3rd of December 2006 the Sanctuary received a call from a member of the public about a pup on the beach at Praa Sands. Maz picked up the rescue kit and cage and headed out. When Maz arrived on the beach she found a pup around 4-5 weeks old (post moult), puncture wounds to head and neck, and signs of malnourishment. |
| The pup was quickly brought back to the Sanctuary and put in to isolation 2. The pup was given a clinical assessment and was also found to have swelling to the jaw and face, and a squint to its eye, the pup also weighed in at only 16 kilos. The wounds were cleaned and treated with antibiotic spray, the pup was given eye drops and an injection of antibiotics. The pup is another little girl and has been named Lilo. |

Update: 16th March 2007 - Lilo was released back into the wild on the 12th of March 2007 along with Pebbles, Dory, Taz and Baloo at Porthtowan. |
