Hulk was rescued on 9th January 2015
Hulk, 8 weeks old male grey seal pup, was rescued from the beach at Widemouth Bay on 9th January 2015 by members of the British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) team.

He was found to be underweight, with bald patches on head and had small abrasions on the bottom of both front and rear flippers.

Update - 23rd January 2015 : Hulk was found to be anaemic so the Animal Care Team are making sure he gets his iron tablet every day.   He is now in the nursery pool with another rescued seal pup named Toad for their next stage of rehabilitation and learning how to compete for fish. His flipper tag number is 071 (yellow).
Hulk in the convalescent pool Update - 31st March 2015 : Hulk is currently in the convalescent pool and putting on lots of weight.

Update - 26th April 2015 : Hulk was released back into the wild along with Odin, Shrek, Pepper, Emma Frost and Aquaman on 24th April 2015 at Gwithian.

Seal Release - 24th April 2015
Hulk Update - 1st August 2016 : Hulk was spotted on 11th & 25th May 2015 and 14th July 2016 at a local seal colony along the north coast of Cornwall by members of the Cornwall Seal Group Research Trust.

Members of the Cornwall Seal Group Research Trust volunteer hundreds of hours of their own time to photo, identify and watch over the seals around the Cornish coast.

Update - 1st June 2016 : Hulk was seen on 31st May 2017 by Anna of the Scilly Seal Snorkelling in the Isles of Scilly.
