Steller was rescued on 28th July 2017
Steller, female common seal, was rescued on 28th July 2017 from Hunstanton Promenade.

This pup was very underweight and had received multiple bite wounds over the length of her body.

She is currently being hydrated, kept warm and learning to eat fish with the assistance of the dedicated Animal Care Team.
Steller has been named after another gorgeous Animal from the Pinniped family, The "Steller Sea Lion".

Steller Sea Lions typically inhabit the Northern Pacific ocean. The species has gained attention in recent years due to a significant reduction in numbers especially in Alaska.

Update - 28th August 2017 : Steller has sadly passed away earlier this month; it is always very sad when one of the rescued pups dies but sometimes these little ones just don´t have enough antibodies and strength in them to pull through, despite the best efforts of all the staff at Hunstanton SEA LIFE.
