Snowball was rescued on 12th January 2019
Snowball, male grey seal pup, was rescued from Trimmingham beach on 12th January 2019.

Unfortunately due to human interference he was separated from his mother.

When Grey seals are born they have a thick fluffy layer of white hair which they loose over the period of their 3rd to 4th week of age.
snowball Update - 27th January 2019 : Snowball is currently learning to eat fish for himself. Once he is eating fish whole, he will learn to compete for fish with other seals his own size.

Update - 12th April 2019 : Snowball was moved along with another rescued grey seal pup to Great Yarmouth Sea Life Centre to convalesce and recuperate and are only there for a few weeks to gain weight, once they have reached their target weight, arrangements will be made for their safe release back into the wild.

Snowball´s flipper ID tag number is 426 (red)
