Scrunchie was rescued on 12th September 2018
Scrunchie, 3-4 days old female grey seal pup, was rescued on 12th September 2018 from Lushington Cove by members of the British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) Medics.

She was separated from her mum. The pup has an ulcer in her left eye.

Scrunchie needs to learn to eat for herself and gain weight, currently still on eye drops that are helping with the ulcer.
Scrunchie Update - 28th October 2018 : Scrunchie is now in the nursery pool for her next stage of rehabilitation and to learn how to compete for fish with other rescued seal pups. She currently weighs 21kgs.

Scrunchie´s flipper tag ID number is 302 (red).

Update - 25th November 2018 : Scrunchie is convalescent pool for her final stage of rehabilitation. She currently weighs 25kgs.

Scrunchie Update - 30th December 2018 : This photo of Scrunchie was taken on 30th December 2018.
Update - 1st January 2019 : Scrunchie has completed his rehabilitation and was returned to the wild on 31st December 2018 at Porthtowan along with other rescued seal pups, Billie Jean, David Hasselhoff, Queen, Duran Duran and John McClane.
