Rey was rescued on 28th December 2016
Rey, female grey seal pup, was rescued on 28th December 2016 from Overstrand beach near Cromer. At approximately 3 weeks old she was weaned from mum but had picked up some bite wounds and had various superficial cuts on her body as well as a broken flipper.

At only 15kgs on arrival she was very underweight so needed feeding every four hours on a special fish soup mixture.
Rey Update - 26th January 2017 : Rey is now doing much better weighing in at 20kgs and eating 3kgs of fish a day.

Once her flipper is healed she will move to the outdoor pool where she can eat as much fish as she likes until she is her target weight of 40kgs and then released back to the wild!

Rey Update - 21st February 2017 : Rey is still in the indoor hospital swim pool and sharing this with another rescued seal pup named Padmé.

Update - 23rd March 2017 : Rey along with Jyn, Darth Vader and Had Han Solo were released back to the wild on 17th March 2017.
