Princess Peach was rescued on 29th January 2016
Princess Peach is the first common seal pup rescue of 2016...just! on 29th January 2016 from Wells by volunteer seal rescuer Louise.

The pup is underweight from her age at 6 months old and has a bad case of lungworm which if left untreated can cause pneumonia. Thankfully she´s come in in time and has been seen by a vet who has prescribed a course of de-wormer and antibiotics.

Update - 30th January 2016 : Princess Peach is doing much better today and has eaten really well. The Animal Care Team are hoping that she will be returned to the wild in March as she currently weighs 22kgs!
Princess Peach Update - 28th February 2016 : Princess Peach is still in hospital pen No. 1 soon she will be moved along to the weaning/swim pool before she goes outside for her final stage of rehabilitation and to learn how to compete for fish with the resident adult seals and rescued seal pups in the pool.

Princess Peach´s flipper tag number is 70 (blue). She currently weighs 32kgs.

Princess Peach - 10th April 2016
Seal Release - 11th April 2016 Princess Peach along with Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Comet and Buddy have been rehabilitated over the last few months and were released at Snettisham beach back into the sea where they belong on 11th April 2016.
