Prince was rescued on 27th May 2019
Prince, the first rescued common seal pup of 2019 season, was found on 27th May 2019 from Titchwell beach after being abandoned by his mum. He was found at 3 days old but weighing only 6kgs so he is extremely underweight. Common seals are usually born at 10kgs.

He is very feisty though and is being well cared for by the specialist animal care team who are feeding him a special fish soup mixture every three hours to try fatten him up!
Prince The white fluffy coat you can see should have been shed prior to birth so this tell us Prince was born prematurely.

Luckily he was found and he is in the right place for all the love and care he needs.
Update - 9th June 2019 : Prince is slowly putting on weight and is now 8.08kgs.
