Pangolin was rescued on 20th January 2017
Pangolin, male grey seal pup, was rescued on 20th January 2017 from Sennen Cove.

The pup was found with a fish hook in it´s mouth.


Update - 11th February 2017 : Pangolin is in the outside nursery pool for the next stage of his rehabilitation and to learn how to compete for fish with other rescued seal pups.

Update - 1st March 2017 : Pangolin is progressing really well and is now in the convalescent pool. He just needs to put on a bit more weight before being released back into the wild.

His flipper tag number is 337 (white).

Rehab Pool - photo by John, Paul, Ruth and Maddie Gore Update - 9th April 2017 : Pangolin is in the outside rehab pool with three other rescued pups Racoon, Porcupine and Turkey. These will be released back to the wild in the coming weeks.

Update - 29th April 2017 : This photo of Pangolin with his seal friends in the rehab pool was taken by John, Paul, Ruth and Maddie Gore during their visit on 25th April 2017.
Update - 29th April 2017 : Pangolin along with Shark, Porcupine, Octopus, Goose and Bat were released back into the wild on 26th April 2017 at Gwithian beach. Seal Release - 25th April 2017
